THE 360 DEGREE PROMISE

One young mother. Every part of her future.

Early motherhood often means leaving school, losing income and missing clinic visits, and each problem feeds the next. Her Tomorrow 360 Degree tackles them together. The 360 Degree in our name is our promise: we support the whole person.

“Your contribution may sound like a drop in the ocean, but it is an ocean to the adolescent and young mother. We believe broken crayons still paint.”

PILLAR 1

Health

With partners and Community Health Promoters, we follow every mother through antenatal and postnatal clinics, a safe birth and her baby's immunisations, and send her home with a post-birth starter pack.

PILLAR 2

Economic wellness

Expert-led group trainings, a starter pack for every skill learned, table banking with her peers and an education fund for her child.

PILLAR 3

Dignity and wellbeing

Counselling, peer support and the confidence to understand and claim her sexual and reproductive health rights.

Our mental health approach is LUV: we Listen, Understand and Validate every mother.

WHY IT MATTERS

Kajiado's adolescent and young mothers fall through the gap.

Kajiado has one of the highest rates of early pregnancy in Kenya. Programmes reach schoolgirls and adult women, but adolescent and young mothers aged 18–21 are too often left out.

Community Health Workers and the area Chief heard adolescent and young mothers' cry for help, but the mothers had no voice to reach donors. Lyma Kivali, a Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Ongata for 14 years, answered that call and founded Her Tomorrow 360 Degree in 2026. We meet at the Chief's Office in Lemelepo, a safe, trusted space where adolescent and young mothers can grow in confidence, working alongside them as members, not beneficiaries.

Lyma Kivali

Founding Member and Chairperson
“When we change the story of a young mother, we change the story of a family, and ultimately, the story of a community.”

Lyma Kivali is a community leader, entrepreneur, finance and administration professional, mentor and passionate advocate for women and girls. Through Rotary she has served as Club President, Assistant Governor and Regional Coordinator, leading 20 clubs and more than 500 Rotarians across Rotary Districts 9212 and 9215.

She has championed maternal and child health, women's empowerment, education, disease prevention, WASH and community development. For Lyma, Her Tomorrow 360 Degree is about hope, dignity and second chances.

Lyma's leadership journey has been shaped by a deep belief that every woman and girl deserves an opportunity to live with dignity, purpose and hope, regardless of where she begins.

Her commitment to community service has been strengthened through her journey with Rotary, where she has served in leadership as a Club President, Assistant Governor and Regional Coordinator. As Regional Coordinator, she provides leadership and coordination across 20 Rotary clubs and more than 500 Rotarians within Rotary Districts 9212 and 9215.

Throughout her Rotary leadership, Lyma has championed maternal and child health, women's empowerment, education, disease prevention, WASH and community development. She has taken part in community needs assessments, programme development, fundraising, grant mobilisation and partnerships aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable women, children and families.

Maternal and child health holds a particularly important place in her service journey. Lyma believes that every mother deserves the opportunity to give birth safely, raise healthy children and build a secure future for her family. She also believes that supporting a young mother goes beyond healthcare: it means restoring her confidence, helping her return to education or acquire skills, creating pathways to economic independence and making sure she does not lose her dreams because of early motherhood. This belief is at the heart of her commitment to Her Tomorrow 360 Degree.

Lyma is passionate about creating safe spaces where young mothers can be heard, supported and empowered. She envisions communities where early motherhood does not become a life sentence of poverty, stigma or lost opportunity, but a point from which a young woman can rise, rebuild and create a different future for herself and her children.

As a founding member, Lyma brings together her experience in leadership, governance, community service, partnerships, fundraising and women's empowerment to help build an organisation that sees the whole woman, not just her circumstances.

Her Tomorrow 360 Degree is about reminding every young mother that her story is not over. Her future is still hers to shape.

MOMENTS FROM OUR WORK

Skills Day: every mother chooses her path.

On 1 October 2026, at the Chief's Office in Olkeri, our Chairperson Lyma Kivali sat down one-to-one with each young mother to talk about the skill she wants to pursue. A Team Lead then shared the pros and cons of life as a hairdresser, and, thanks to friends of Her Tomorrow 360 Degree, every mother went home with a 2kg packet of unga (ugali flour).
